The AVM Ovation S-DAC is an upgrade module designed to enhance the existing Ovation series from this manufacturer, offering a compact and efficient solution.
According to the manufacturer, the AVM Ovation S-DAC upgrade aims to improve spatiality, detail reproduction, and provide a “solid, live-like” sound quality. This module can be integrated into the SD, CS, and MP versions of the Ovation series. The upgrade is built around ESS Sabre ESS9038PRO DAC chips, configured in a Bi-Quad arrangement. Along with the use of highly precise metal film resistors, low-tolerance capacitors, and an accurate clock, this upgrade promises to deliver a highly competent and refined audio experience.
The AVM Ovation S-DAC upgrade module supports a maximum quality of 32-bit/384 kHz, as well as DSD up to DSD 256. The upgrade is available for order immediately at a price of €2690. However, it should be noted that at the time of writing, the module is not yet listed in the AVM Shop.
