The new dCS Varèse Music System is modular, allowing you to assemble a “good old tower” according to your preferences and needs.

The foundation of the dCS Varèse Music System consists of the Core and a User Interface. Additionally, you can optionally add a Master Clock and two mono DACs. Included is the Varèse Remote Control, or a remote control. More practical for such versatile devices is perhaps an app, and that’s also available in the form of dCS Mosaic ACTUS. If you want even more, you’ll need to wait until next year when a matching CD/SACD Transport is set to be released.

Numerous Innovations

The dCS Varèse Music System features a host of new mechanical and electronic innovations from the manufacturer. There is the patented dCS Tomix clock system, for instance. Another new addition is ACTUS, the interface that facilitates the transfer of audio, control signals, and timing between the individual components. Noteworthy too is the Differential Ring DAC, a new version of the company’s proprietary D/A converter.

Prices for the dCS Varèse Music System components are not yet known; the manufacturer indicates availability by the end of this year. Production will take place in limited quantities. More information can be found on the system’s information page.
