Dutch store iEar’ announces the release of the new Rega Next Level MM cartridges, including the Nd3, Nd5, and Nd7 models. According to the announcement, ten years of R&D have culminated in this completely new series of cartridges. Notably, the Rega Nd3 replaces the award-winning Elys 2 and is the first cartridge in the world to use ultra-strong neodymium magnets. The Rega Nd5 is equipped with an aluminum cantilever and a precise ‘perfect elliptical nude diamond’ stylus, which according to the manufacturer guarantees ‘exceptional tracking accuracy’ allowing you to extract more details from your vinyl.
Flagship Nd7
The Nd7 is the flagship of the Rega Next Level MM series. This version is entirely handmade and, according to the manufacturer, uses the ‘most advanced “fine line” nude diamond profile for ultimate detail retrieval’. This same technology is also used in the MC models Alpheta 3 and Aphelion 2. Furthermore, a brand new generator profile is deployed, described by Rega as having ‘perfect symmetry‘ for accurate channel balance. The Nd7 is factory-fitted on the Rega Planar 6 and Planar 8 turntables.
Demos on September 13 and 14
iEar’ has more news, as it will host demonstrations on September 13 and 14 featuring three ‘exquisite high-end hifi brands that deserve special attention’. These brands include Primare, Perlisten, and Nagra. The demonstrations will be provided in collaboration with the distributors of these brands, PAI audio video and Audio Technology Switzerland.
