It all started as a spontaneous idea at this year’s High End Munich: the brand new Clearaudio Celebrity Al Di Meola Edition turntable.
Guitarist Al Di Meola was the “patron” of the High End Munich 2024 event. During the show, he connected with Clearaudio, sparking a creative idea that resulted in the new Clearaudio Celebrity Al Di Meola Edition turntable. The base of the player is made from highly compressed wood fibers, shaped like a guitar. Even the multifunctional control knob matches the design. It serves as a start/stop button and also adjusts the speed. This belt-driven turntable uses a flat drive belt, and the speed is kept as consistent as possible through Clearaudio’s in-house developed Tacho-Speed-Control, which recalibrates with each start, compensating for any potential tension changes in the belt due to temperature fluctuations.
Limited Edition
The drive motor is decoupled from the chassis using a unique suspension system, a technique derived from Clearaudio’s higher-end Reference Jubilee. The Clearaudio Celebrity Al Di Meola Edition turntable is available immediately but limited to only 1,000 units. You can choose between a black or real rosewood finish. The price is €3,950.
