Weighing over 37 kilograms, the bearing is made from a ceramic material and features magnetic support. According to the manufacturer, this design helps minimize bearing noise and vibrations. Included with the turntable is the Signature Record Puck, which securely presses your record onto the platter.
The Signature 12.2 is belt-driven and supports both 33 1/3 and 45 RPM. A cartridge is not included, as Pro-Ject expects you to choose one that best suits your needs. The turntable will be available starting next month, priced at $14,999.
