
A fully restored and one-of-a-kind EMI TG12345 mixing console is up for auction, having been used for the Beatles’ Abbey Road album.
We found a great story, reported by Analog Planet regarding a fully restored and operational EMI TG12345 mixing console going up for sale. This legendary console was used to record many iconic albums, all renowned for their exceptional sound quality. Custom-built for EMI Studios in 1968, the TG12345 was utilized in August and September of 1969 to record Abbey Road by The Beatles. The band members also used it for their solo projects, including John Lennon’s Instant Karma. Other notable artists like Cliff Richard and The Shadows, The Hollies, and Mary Hopkin also recorded their albums using this console.
The starting price for the EMI TG12345 has not been disclosed (yet), but given its illustrious history, superior quality, and its status as the only one in existence, bidders can expect to dig deep into their wallets.
