The original Bose 901 speakers, dating back to 1968, were revolutionary for their time. Now, they’re making a comeback—but only for a very select group—as the Kith x Bose 901.

Bose fans may feel a twinge of disappointment upon learning that the new 901 speakers won’t be widely available. Instead, they are being released in an extreme limited edition to celebrate Bose’s 60th anniversary in collaboration with Kith, a U.S.-based lifestyle and fashion brand known for its exclusive projects. Kith’s founder, Ronnie Fieg, enlisted custom furniture maker Mark Jupiter to redesign the speakers. The updated design includes brass stands mounted on a wooden base, adding a modern touch to the classic model.

Exclusive to Friends and Family

The bad news? The Kith x Bose 901 speakers are not for sale to the public. These limited-edition speakers—just 12 pairs in total—will be exclusively available to Bose and Fieg’s friends and family.

Technical details remain scarce. It’s unclear if the speakers retain their original configuration of a single front-facing driver with multiple rear-facing drivers for that distinctive sound. Bose has shared photos of the commemorative speakers on Instagram, but no pricing information has been revealed. For most Bose enthusiasts, these will likely remain a dream item.
