The new Soulnote A-3 Core is a power amplifier designed with a completely and meticulously separated internal structure.
The Soulnote A-3 Core can be considered a dual mono amplifier housed in a single enclosure. This is hardly surprising, as the manufacturer has extensive experience with their M-3 monoblock. Each channel operates as a completely independent circuit, featuring its own power supply and dedicated toroidal transformer. The output stage employs a single-ended single push-pull configuration.
One notable feature is the cooling system for the output transistors. Instead of running wires to heatsinks on the back of the chassis, the cooling is managed through a PCB with a large copper surface, simplifying the design.
Unique Build Quality
In addition, none of the circuit boards inside are screwed into place. Instead, they are mounted using rails. This approach not only facilitates repairs and assembly but also prevents an acoustic “hard” coupling between the boards and the rest of the chassis, enhancing sound quality.
