The highly anticipated HBO series Dune: Prophecy is now available for pre-order in a stunning 4K UHD Steelbook Blu-ray edition.
For dedicated fans, the physical release of Dune: Prophecy offers the complete first season – including all six episodes – presented in full 4K resolution along with extensive bonus material. The Steelbook edition, set to be released on May 12, isn’t exactly cheap, with a price tag of approximately €50. If you’re not particularly attached to the collector’s packaging, a standard 4K Blu-ray version is also available for around €40. Additionally, a regular non-4K Blu-ray edition is priced at about €30, while those opting for a more budget-friendly option can go for the DVD version, which costs around €25.
Interestingly, the Steelbook edition has not yet appeared in WB’s official store, but it’s expected to be listed soon. Regardless, it’s encouraging to see that new content is still being released for collectors of physical media. Now, let’s just hope that Blu-ray players continue to be supported – because the future of playback hardware is looking a lot less certain…
