The TAD ME1TX is a compact bookshelf speaker featuring a coaxial driver system, optionally available with matching stands.

Compact speakers continue to hold their appeal, whether for those with limited space or for enjoying quality music in a home office. The new TAD ME1TX speakers deliver high-fidelity sound in a compact form, or at least so is promised. Built as a three-way bass-reflex system, they are equipped with a 16 cm woofer made from multi-layer aramid composite material with a multi-layer Kevlar base for deep and controlled bass.

Coaxial drivers

Its midrange and tweeter are integrated into a coaxial driver system, which TAD refers to as a “Coherent Source Transducer.” The magnesium diaphragm midrange driver covers frequencies from 420 Hz to 2500 Hz, while the 25 mm beryllium tweeter extends up to 60 kHz, ensuring exceptional clarity and detail. The cabinet is constructed from 5 mm thick MDF, reinforced with 5 mm steel plates on the sides to minimize vibrations. All in all: looks like a nice setup on paper!

The TAD ME1TX will be available from May 2025, priced at €7,300 in high-gloss black and €17,500 in high-gloss silver-white. For those who prefer a stand-mounted setup, the TAD-ST3TX stands are available separately for €2,800.
