With the Stream 4K stick, the American TiVo wants to put a strong competitor in the market for the Amazon Fire Stick.
Although it is still completely unclear whether the new TiVo Stream 4K stick will ever appear on the European market, it is a very nice device. Running on Android as an operating system it supports a resolution of 4K, Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos. At the same time the stick can handle various streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Disney+, HBO and YouTube. In short: you are set to go with this small device.
A remote control is included as standard, but you can also control the Stream via Google Assistant. In other words: with voice.

Apart from the large streaming services mentioned above, TiVo has also made an alliance with Sling TV, which provides breaking news and sports. With the purchase of the stick you get 7 days free access to Sling TV. The introductory price of the TiVo Stream 4k is only $50 dollar; the regular price is $70 dollar. That’s all quite manageable. And if you don’t have a single streaming subscription then there is always TiVo+, the home streaming service that guarantees thousands of hours of free movies and TV plus 49 equally free streaming channels. For the other streaming services you must of course first take out a subscription. This is especially useful if you already have such a subscription and a TV that can’t handle it.
