The new 7-channel NAD M28 power amplifier can be used for both hi-fi and home cinema applications. Per channel you get 200 watts of power at your disposal.
The 7-channel NAD M28 features Class D power amplifiers with – as reported – a power of up to 200 watts per channel. Self-oscillating technology is used. That technology is licensed by NAD from the Danish Purifi and you will also find it in the M33 BluOS streaming amplifier. The idea of that ‘Self-oscillating’ – Eigentakt calls it that way –Â is that the performance of a Class D amplifier is improved. And that by the previously unknown effects of the output filter to include feedback loop. This should lead to an amplifier that can operate independently of the connected load and volume. For example, NAD promises an extremely low total harmonic distortion (THD) of 0.003% plus clean and stable clipping-behaviour.
Sleek design
The NAD M28 features both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR inputs. In terms of design, it’s all kept nice and tight, with the amplifier just over 21 pounds. The 7-channel M28 is now available and the orders will also be delivered from this month. For all this beauty you need to pay $ 4999.
