Definitive Technology Studio 3D Mini soundbar

Definitive Technology Studio 3D Mini soundbar is very compact, but it does have Dolby Atmos. It has a separate subwoofer to create a solid bass.

For anyone who wants to get a whole lot better sound out of his or her TV, but doesn’t fancy an oversized soundbar or soundplate, there is the Definitive Technology Studio 3D Mini.

This very compact soundbar also features Dolby Atmos, which provides depth in the third dimension. Both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D audio processing is handled by the 4.1-channel system. Bass is solidly delivered by a separate subwoofer.

HEOS compatible

In the Definitive Technology Studio 3D Mini soundbar you will find six drivers. These are placed on the front and both sides, which should ensure the widest possible radiated sound. You can either mount it on the wall with a brushed aluminum housing or simply place it under the television.

The Studio 3D Mini is equipped with 4K HDMI inputs and outputs. With support for eARC, which can handle Dolby Vision and HDR10. Practical is also a USB port to play some hi-res music. A digital optical input and a classic AUX input complete the connectivity.

Interestingly, AirPlay 2 is supported. Furthermore, it is the first product of Definitive Technology that has HEOS multi-room on board.

The Definitive Technology Studio 3D Mini is available as of this month, for an amount of $899 U.S. dollars. Strangely enough, the newcomer cannot be found on the manufacturer’s website at the time of writing. However, googling on image does produce an image (see top of this article), hosted by Definitive Technology itself. So chances are that at the moment you read this, the device can be found on the website of the company.
