Optoma has released two fast, 240Hz 4K UHD gaming and home entertainment projectors, made for fast-paced action on the screen.
Optoma has unveiled its UHD35 and UHD38 projectors: lightning-fast, low-latency 4K UHD home entertainment and gaming projectors that succeed the popular UHD30 model.
‘These groundbreaking projectors incorporate the latest advanced TI DLP technology to deliver incredible detail and vivid color with 3600 and 4000 lumens of brightness and outstanding response times, respectively, for unparalleled 4K UHD movie and gaming experiences. With full 8.3 million pixels on screen, the new models are certified True 4K UHD by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and have 4 million more pixels than inferior ‘4K PRO-UHD’ projectors that do not meet the official 4K UHD standard,” reads the press release from distributor KlankBart.
Input processing speed unmatched
The input processing speed of the Optoma UHD35 and UHD38 is unmatched in consumer projection, according to the distributor, with Enhanced Gaming Mode delivering an ultra-low input delay of 4.2ms.
‘This results in unparalleled visual fluidity that can rival high-end gaming monitors and TVs. Based on resolution and refresh rate, the response time for the UHD35 and UHD38 is: at 4K UHD at 60Hz: 16.7ms and at 1080p: 16.7ms (60Hz), 8.9ms (120Hz), 4.2ms (240Hz),’ says ‘KlankBart’.
Visually stunning picture, even with ambient light
These next-generation projectors can project an image of up to 300 inches diagonal, have HDR10 and HLG compatibility and – in KlankBart’s words ‘incredible contrast for visually stunning pictures, even with ambient light. With horizontal and vertical keystone and 4-angle correction, placement and installation is easy and flexible. Dual HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 support provides connectivity to the latest 4K UHD devices, while a 12V trigger allows control of a motorized screen. With a lamp life of up to 15,000 hours, the Optoma UHD35 and UHD38 offer years of use with minimal maintenance when using Dynamic Black mode for a lower total cost of ownership.
