The Nubert nuBoxx AS-425 is the fourth member of a series of soundbars from the German manufacturer.
Soundbars are and remain popular devices. Not very surprising, of course, since one can ensure a whole lot better sounding TV without a much of a hassle. The new Nubert NuBoxx AS-425 max fits right in between the nuPro AS-3500 and flagship nuPro XS-7500. In fact, this isn’t exactly a soundbar but a soundplate. In other words: you simply place your television on top. It supports devices larger than 40 inches. Nubert used four 118 mm low-midrange drivers and two tweeters in the plate. A total of four separate Class D amplifiers steer these drivers, altogether delivering up to 40 watts of power.
Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround
Under the hood of the Nubert nuBoxx AS-425 max, a DSP does its magic to ensure the best possible sound. And for the enthusiasts, a loudness function is present. There is also an option to generate a more spacious sound, while Voice+ highlights voices. An interesting option for movie lovers is support for Dolby Digital (AC3) and DTS Digital Surround. In matter of connectivity you’ll find an HDMI-ARC port as well as a line input (cinch) and an optical plus coaxial S/PDIF input. A Bluetooth receiver is provided too, supporting the codecs aptxHD and AAC. The Nubert nuBoxx AS-425 will cost you €668.
