JVC presents the DLA-NP5, an “entry-level” 4K projector that supports a maximum resolution refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The new JVC DLA-NP5 is marketed by JVC as an entry-level model. Still, you have to bring a rather hefty $7000 for it to call it yours. Indeed, not something that the majority of people will put in their shopping carts on an average Saturday. Still, the price-quality ratio is good at the moment, because the JVC has a lot to offer too. HDR10+, HDMI 2.1, a resolution of 4K with a refresh rate up to and including 120 Hz are all on the list of specs.
1900 lumens
The brightness delivered by the new JVC projector is 1900 lumens, with a contrast ratio of 400,000:1. Of course, the manufacturer also has laser projectors in its range, with which brightnesses of over 2000 lumens are possible. The only thing is that they cost even a lot more. Choosing a “traditional” light source can therefore save money. The device is available from March. More information on this page, where you have to scroll down a bit for the DLA-NP5.
