Amazon has completed its acquisition of MGM, a whopper as it means a huge expansion of its film offerings!
Amazon paid $8.5 billion for the acquisition of MGM. The deal adds a range of well-known films, including all the James Bond movies to their streaming service. In total, Amazon gains 4,000 films and 17,000 TV shows. Resounding names as Rocky, RoboCop and Legally Blonde now fall under the auspices of the video streaming service Prime Video. By the way, the deal has been approved by both the US FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and the EU antitrust commission.
