TCL presented the TCL RAY-DANZ soundbar X937U at this year’s IFA, intended as an entertainment hub with a large sound field.
According to the manufacturer, the TCL RAY-DANZ soundbar X937U is ‘a modern home entertainment hub that delivers cinema-quality sound with the largest sound field, intelligent sonic adjustment and easy installation’. It was announced at IFA 2022 and is per direct TCL’s new flagship. Powered by Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, this 7.1.4-channel soundbar features a unique design designed to create a superior listening environment.
RAY DANZ technology
The manufacturer tells: ‘In pursuit of a better soundbar audio experience, TCL developed and introduced the innovative and award-winning RAY-DANZ technology in 2020. With uniquely rear-facing speakers that beam sound waves to curved acoustic reflector units, it creates wider and homogeneous soundstage, compared to mainstream soundbars. This is done without any digital processing and without compromising sound quality, clarity or accuracy’.
Second Generation
In spring 2022, TCL launched the second generation of RAY-DANZ, with the new TCL C935U, a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos soundbar that recently won the “EISA BEST BUY SOUNDBAR 2022-2023” award. ‘A recognition that demonstrates TCL’s innovations have won over the European picture and sound experts through its performance in image and sound’, says the proud manufacturer. ‘Powered by Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, the new high-end soundbar delivers ‘a multidimensional audio experience that intelligently adapts to any room. The user can adjust the bass to the maximum with one click on the remote control and really feel the sound at a bass frequency of just 20Hz – the lowest bass threshold for the human ear. The new TCL X937U is easy to set up and features Auto Sound Calibration to automatically take into account all the complicated variables,’ reports TCL.
Environmentally friendly
The manufacturer further states that the soundbar and rear speakers of the X937U are encased in eco-friendly material made from recycled rPET, such as plastic bottles. This 100% recyclable GRS-certified material, they say, ‘provides a beautiful contrast to the visual ridges of the unit’s housing. This refined aesthetic, combined with the space-saving compact design and features such as ‘invisible’ recessed brackets, makes the new TCL soundbar a wonderful addition to any home’s decor’.
