JVC’s D-ILA flagship projector is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and it goes without saying that this will be celebrated with a grand anniversary model.
JVC’s brand new DLA-25LTD is an 8K laser projector. Released in a limited edition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the D-ILA line. Truly limited by the way, because only 25 of them will be made. In the US, users will receive a jacket with a special anniversary emblem on it upon purchase; EU buyers will receive a shield with the engraved serial number of their projector. The specs don’t lie: 3,000 lumens peak brightness, 150,000:1 contrast ratio, support for HDR10+ and JVC’s proprietary technology to upscale 4K content to 8K. Three 0.69-inch native 4K ILA modules are deployed internally, as well as an 18-element 100mm glass lens. And oh yes, the price: $29,999, but you have to be very quick to get your hands on one.
