LG Electronics (LG) Benelux announces the launch of the 2023 LG Soundbar DSC9S. It matches LG’s 2023 TV lineup in both appearance and functionality.
The new 2023 LG Soundbar DSC9S forms an excellent match with LG’s 2023 TV lineup, both in appearance and functionality according to the manufacturer: ‘The new soundbars deliver a lot of added value for consumers: powerful audio, a variety of useful features such as WOW Orchestra and a stylish design. Whether for home cinema, music or gaming, the new DSC9S takes every aspect of home entertainment to the next level’.
Dolby Atmos and IMAX Enhanced
We read on in the announcement, ‘LG’s new soundbar offers seamless integration with LG’s TVs and stronger, more authentic sound that makes home entertainment even more immersive. In conjunction with the LG Soundbar and LG TV, WOW Orchestra* and WOW Interface will be launched. This uses all audio channels from both products to create a soundstage with enhanced height, depth and power. LG’s 2023 soundbar and TVs offer more synergy for an outstanding sound solution. This allows listeners to enjoy Dolby Atmos and IMAX Enhanced powered by DTS:X’.
Lifelike sounds in a powerful audio environment
The DSC9S soundbar, according to LG, ‘offers greatly enhanced clarity for a lifelike home theater experience with its proprietary Triple Sound Technology, including the world’s first Triple Up-Firing Speaker. Triple Level Spatial Sound Technology uses channel analysis to add a virtual middle layer. The result is lifelike sound, thanks to the powerful audio environment. In addition, the sound experience is enhanced by Triple AI Sound Optimizer: a feature that intelligently improves the performance of the new soundbar. The enhanced AI Room Calibration matches audio output to the room and analyzes the environment to then apply this information to the soundbar’s settings, further enhancing sound quality. In addition, the new model includes LG’s advanced AI Sound Pro feature, which ensures excellent sound for any type of content – be it movies, sporting events, games or music’.
LG further reports that the soundbar offers “sound solutions for anyone who wants to take their gaming experience to the next level, this LG’s soundbar supports VRR to reduce screen tearing and ALLM to eliminate lag, with 4K/120Hz pass-through also possible.
Upgrade for 2022 Soundbars via software update
A new software update, released in March 2023, ‘includes new, high-quality features that make the listening and user experience even better. Some models are updated automatically via a Wi-Fi connection, while others are updated via the LG Sound Bar app. Thanks to this upgrade, some 2022 sound bar models offer even more accurate sound reproduction and improved clarity through the following additions:
