Denon introduces the 7.2-channel AVR-X1800H AV receiver (AVR), an affordable entry-level model that supports 8K resolution.
The new Denon AVR-X1800H is a powerful seven-channel amplifier delivering immersive 3D sound via Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Above that, three 8K HDMI inputs for crystal clear UHD image quality are implemented. All of which, according to the manufacturer, realizes ‘unparalleled movie, music and gaming experiences in any medium-sized room.’

In the manufacturer’s words, the Denon AVR-X1800H offers:
- Compelling music and movie sound via Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Dolby and DTS add virtualized height and surround sound effects to 7.1, 5.1 or 2.1 speaker setups, so that without dedicated height or surround speakers, you still feel like you’re in the middle of the action on screen. Dolby Surround and DTS Neural:X upmixer optimize content to make everything sound as sublime as possible.
- Advanced 8K home theater and next-gen gaming experiences with the AXR-X1800H with its advanced HDMI section. Three of the six HDMI inputs and one output are dedicated to 8K. They support 8K/60Hz, HLG, HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and Dynamic HDR passthrough up to a bandwidth of 40Gbps. And every gaming session is taken to the next level with support for 4K120, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Quick Frame Transport (QFT) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for a lag-free gaming experience when connected to appropriate gaming devices.
