According to the rumor circuit, specifications of the expected Sony PlayStation 5 Pro have been leaked. And they sound pretty interesting.
The new Sony PlayStation 5 Pro should – or so we read here – feature all-around nice upgrades like AI upscaling, a “high CPU frequency mode” and faster ray tracing. In total, image rendering should be 45% faster than on the regular PS 5. Furthermore, 8K resolution is supported. Ray tracing should be two to four times faster. The CPU – an 8-core AMD Zen 2 CPU has remained the same, but a slightly higher (10%) clock speed is possible. The audio part has also been taken care of. In this case, we are talking about 35% more performance.
The leaked data seems to indicate that the PlayStation 5 Pro is starting to take a bit more solid shape. Possibly it will be launched by the end of the year, just in time for the holiday season in December. We’ll see!
