With the BenQ W5800, you not only get yourself a capable laser projector, but also the newest member of the CinePrime series.
For anyone who enjoys optimal picture quality in a home theater (yet to be set up, if necessary), the new BenQ W5800 may be just the thing. This is a laser projector that, according to the manufacturer, supports the full DCI-P3 and Rec. 709 color spaces. In practice, this means that you can enjoy “true Hollywood colors,” always nice of course. Furthermore, the device supports HDR 10 and HDR10+, while an HDR movie mode with 24 frames per second is also available.
Light in the darkness
The maximum brightness of the BenQ W5800 is 2600 ANSI Lumen. And that, according to the manufacturer, should make it the first projector in the world to clock this value. Interestingly, it is also a native 4K projector, without pixel shift.
The W8500 isn’t the cheapest projector in town, you have to pay $5999 for it.
