Compact projectors are popping up everywhere, including the new Leica Cine Play 1 laser projector for example.

Naturally, the Leica Cine Play 1 doesn’t fall into the “budget” category. This projector features a stylish aluminum and glass finish and uses a triple RGB laser system. The lifespan of these light sources is 25,000 hours, so frequent viewers don’t need to worry much. It’s also a particularly bright projector, with a brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens. Conveniently, the system supports all major HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR 10+, and HLG.

300-Inch 4K

Of course, the Leica Cine Play 1 comes equipped with a proprietary Leica lens: the Summicron zoom lens, to be precise. This allows you to project 4K content between 65 and up to 300 inches in size. The projector also includes a built-in stereo speaker system with 10 watts. Additionally, it’s a smart projector, which means you can stream content without needing external devices. The downside is that you’re dependent on the manufacturer for updates to keep the system current and secure.

The Cine Play 1 is priced at $3,795 and is available immediately. For enthusiasts, the manufacturer also offers a matching stand, available for $495.
