JBL has released a new series of headphones, all under the name CLUB. On-ear, over-ear: you choose.
The top model of the new JBL CLUB series is the CLUB ONE. Equipped with 40 mm graphene drivers and active noise cancelling, you can enjoy this over-ear in total silence. The ONE conforms to JBL Pro Sound quality, with graphene chosen as the driver material because of the high precision of the equally high frequencies. And, of course, the characteristic JBL bass is not lacking either.
The active noise cancelling technique samples the ambient sound 50,000 times a second and lets you listen in (relative) silence. What’s nice is that even disturbing noises such as those caused by hair movement (if you have any, at least…), glasses or head movements are pushed away.
Noise or no noise (suppression)
Then there is the over-ear JBL CLUB 950NC, also armed with active noise cancelling. Finally, there is the on-ear JBL CLUB700BT, without noise cancelling.
What all models in the series have in common is the premium finish, including a headrest covered in leather, metal hinges and magnetic, interchangeable ear cushions. The series also has hi-res audio certification. Bluetooth 5.0 ensures a stable wireless connection and long listening on a battery charge. And of course the headphones can handle today’s – it seems – indispensable voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The CLUB ONE and CLUB 950NC come with a hard-shell carrying case. The CLUB 700BT comes with a nice and sturdy protective case.
