LG has released a new set in-ears in cooperation with Meridian; most special is the loading case with disinfection option.
LG must have thought that now that we are all suffering from a kind of mysophobia thanks to COVID-19, it’s time for more anti-bacterial measures. The result is a captive charger – called UVnano – which is equipped with UV LEDs. According to the manufacturer, this eliminates 99.9% of E. Coli and S. aureus 2 of the silicone attachments. In short: it is a lot ‘calmer’ in your ear as far as unwanted guests are concerned. Before we forget: there are two new in-ears coming out in our region.
Spatially
The new LG HBS-FN6 comes with the disinfectant UVnano; not with the equally new HBS-FN4. This means that the latest version is cheaper. At the time of writing, LG has not yet mentioned official prices, but several British sites mention amounts of respectively £149 and £99.
Both in-ears have a series of equalizer settings by Meridian, while the Ambient Sound Mode is useful to let in some more ambient sound. For lovers of space, there is the HSP (Headphone Spatial Processing) Mode. Furthermore, the gel attachments are LG hypoallergenic.
It is not yet known exactly when the newcomers will be available. But as you can see by clicking on the links above, they are already listed on the Dutch site of LG. So it probably won’t take very long anymore.
