Smart design, smart features
The PX7 Carbon Edition has the same specifications as the existing PX7 models, Bowers & Wilkins explains: First of all, it delivers pristine sound at maximum resolution, while maintaining full neutrality and tonal balance. The aim is to reproduce your favourite music exactly as the artist intended, whether or not you’ve enabled noise cancelling. The PX7 Carbon Edition’s immersive sound is the result of the custom-made 43.6mm drivers. Designed, developed and tuned by Bowers & Wilkins’ world-renowned technical team. The same team is also responsible for the legendary 800 Series Diamond speakers used in professional environments such as Abbey Road Studios and Skywalker Sound’.
Comfort
In practical terms, the PX7 Carbon Edition also supports the latest wireless codecs, including the recently introduced Bluetooth aptX Adaptive technology. This enables streaming quality of 24-bit/48 kHz. The PX7 Carbon Edition has also put a lot of energy into the design of the headband and arms. As with all PX7 headphones, these are made from a carbon fibre-reinforced polymer for an optimal combination of lightness and rigidity. In addition, memory foam ear cushions provide industry-leading passive noise isolation. The PX7 Carbon Edition’s active noise cancelling is provided by adaptive technology that intelligently analyses the background environment and automatically adjusts the type of noise cancelling to the appropriate level. With the accompanying app, users can also select a function that allows ambient noise to
