CEntrance presents HiFi-M8 V2

The new CEntrance HiFi-M8 V2 builds on its predecessor. The portable DAC headphone amplifier now has Bluetooth onboard, and many more outputs.

According to the manufacturer, the CEntrance HiFi-M8 V2 is primarily intended for many on-the-go hi-fi enthusiasts. Not entirely odd, since this is a portable headphone amplifier annex DAC.

The new version includes Bluetooth, a LED VU meter and more outputs, four to be precise. The nice thing is that all these four outputs can be used at the same time. The HiFi-M8 V2 has a ‘cold’ and ‘warm’ side. Each of these sides contains four amplifiers internally. The ‘cold’ side is meant for in-ears, for which a 2.5 balanced and 3.5 mm unbalanced mini-jack are available. The “warm” side provides more power and is designed to drive even the most “difficult” headphones. An XLR balanced output and a traditional unbalanced headphone output are available.

CEntrance announces that a lot of attention has been paid to a ‘deep and black’ noise floor. In other words: real silence is promised, because nothing is as annoying as noise and hiss in the background.

As far as the DAC is concerned, all standard sampling frequencies and resolutions are supported including 24 bit/44.1 kHz up to 32 bit/384 kHz and DSD. For Windows users an ASIO driver is available.

According to CEntrance, the HiFi-M8 V2 is not only ideal for traveling (you can listen together with someone else, for example), but also very useful for comparing headphones. At home, but also in a store, for example. After all, you will always have your own reference as a source at hand!

Furthermore, the CEntrance HiFi-M8 V2 is housed in sturdy aluminum and has a battery and a STAMINA switch (with which you can turn off the ‘warm’ side) for a longer playing time on the road. You pay $749.99 American Dollars for all this beauty.
