The German T+A has released a new headphone. The T+A is based on the Solitaire P, but has a nicer price tag.
The new T+A Solitaire P-SE is a magnetostatic headphone, which the manufacturer has copied from the more expensive Solitaire P. In the SE variant, a plastic housing has been chosen, which not only reduces costs but also weight.
You will also find newly developed converters with newly developed filters and membranes. Furthermore, these are open headphones (something to take into account if you don’t want to disturb others with your listening sessions). According to the tradition of T+A, the Solitaire P-SE is also built by hand in Herford, Germany.
Broadband
The distortion of the T+A Solitary P-SE is less than 0.015% at 100 dB. Furthermore, the headphones have an impedance of 45 Ohm and the frequency range is from 8 Hz to 45 kHz.
The newcomer is available from january 25th 2021, with the addition of SE representing the entry-level T+A models. For this entry-level model you have to pay an amount of €2800. So, it’s something for the more serious headphone users. More information about the SE can be found on this product page, while big brother Solitaire P can be admired here.
