Sennheiser has released the new CX Plus truly wireless in-ears, which include ANC or Active Noise Cancelling for much-needed peace of mind while listening.
In fact, the new Sennheiser CX Plus is a further development of the CX True Wireless released last summer. In the CX Plus you will find the dynamic TrueResponse driver. According to Sennheiser, that component should guarantee solid bass, natural mids and detailed highs. All of this is made all the more audible by ANC, which significantly reduces annoying ambient noise. And if you want to have a quick chat, the same ANC can be temporarily turned off with the touch of a finger and everything around you can be heard again.
If you pull the earphones out of your ears, Smart Pause pauses the music. As soon as you push the earphones back in, the music continues to play. The in-ears work similarly smart with the supplied carrying case (actually a sturdy box). When inserted into the case, the CX Plus automatically turns itself off; when removed, it automatically turns itself back on.
Sharing the tips
The Sennheiser CX Plus is also equipped with touch-sensitive surfaces. They help you control various functions with simple touches. An interesting detail is that the earpieces can, of course, be used together as a traditional stereo pair, but they can also be used separately as a dual mono set. In that case you can share sound with someone else, for example.
The new Sennheiser uses Bluetooth 5.2, supporting the codecs AAC, aptX and aptX Adaptive as well as the standard SBC. Playtime on fully charged batteries is a nice 8 hours. Via the charging pouch you can refuel on the go via the battery built into the device, giving you a total of 24 hours of unplugged use.
The price of all this beauty is not too bad at all: for €159.90 they are yours. Available now.
