Philips: new headphones and Bluetooth speakers

Philips Sound introduces the unique “hybrid” Philips A7507 ANC wireless headphones. Also available for the first time are portable Bluetooth speakers.

Philips Sound is expanding their range of sports headphones this year with the introduction of the exceptional ‘hybrid’ wireless Philips A7507 ANC headphones. In addition, the brand is adding portable Bluetooth speakers as a new category for the first time with the introduction of the new Philips S4807 and S7807.

Team Jumbo Visma

Under the umbrella of the GO concept, the series includes several headphone models designed to add extra fun to active lifestyles and workouts thanks to their combination of comfort, ruggedness, water resistance and great sound on the go. According to the manufacturer, the new products are partly influenced by Philips Sound’s close collaboration with Team Jumbo Visma(since 2020), the world’s leading cycling and speed skating team. In this collaboration, the insights and experiences of the team’s top professionals influenced the final product design, specifications and implementation.

Philips A7507

According to the manufacturer, the A7507 in-ear TWS headphones offer ‘exceptional sound quality whether you’re training in a noisy gym, running outside or hiking in a windy environment. This is achieved through a combination of large, low-distortion playback, graphene-coated drivers and compatibility with both LDAC and AAC codecs. A new ANC Pro system offers the choice of complete isolation or bypassing ambient noise, with the addition of a special algorithm to further reduce wind noise’.

Bone Conduction Microphones

The hybrid specification of the Philips A7507 also includes bone conduction microphones to improve call intelligibility and – in Philips’ words – ‘ensure crystal clear call quality, even when running or walking in noisy environments. The battery life is very good: the earbuds offer eight hours of playback time. Moreover, just 15 minutes of fast charging via a USB-C already provides one hour of playtime. Another 21 hours of playtime are available via the charging case. With earbud stabilizers and ear-tips in different sizes, the Philips A7507 ensures long-lasting comfort’. The Philips A7507 will be available from June 2022 for a suggested retail price of €149.99.

Philips S4807 & S7807 portable Bluetooth speakers

The new Bluetooth speakers are based on the same design philosophy as Philips sports headphones: ‘they are rugged and water-resistant, comfortable and easy to carry. Whether at home or on the go, users are assured of great sound. The new speakers are designed to go anywhere and can be used in all conditions, thanks to their dust- and waterproof design. The rugged double-layer rubber finish is available with a sporty finish of black/red or white/yellow, with gray accents. The speaker also features an integrated, detachable lanyard’.

Powerbank

‘The Philips S7807 (pictured on top) offers huge, high-quality sound relative to its compact, bag-friendly dimensions – 104 x 104 x 280 mm – thanks to a 20 mm tweeter with two 70 mm mid/bass woofers and a passive radiator to ensure both deep bass and clear mids and highs. The output power is an impressive 40 watts with a long play time of 24 hours. The Philips S7807 can also be used as a 5000mAh power bank to charge your other devices,” according to the manufacturer’s description.

Multipoint

The smaller Philips S4807 – with compact dimensions of 70 x 70 x 169 mm – has, according to the brand, ‘still an impressive sound thanks to a 20 mm tweeter, a 45 mm mid/bass driver and two passive radiators. With a power output of 10 watts, the speaker offers a play time of 12 hours. Both the S7807 and S4807 offer easy Bluetooth 5.2 multipoint connection to multiple devices and simple hands-free calls via push-to-talk, and voice assistant activation. The new speakers are not only rugged, powerful and easy to carry, but can also be combined with a second set. Together, they provide a larger, all-encompassing stereo sound; perfect to use for a party. The Philips S7807 and S4807 are available from February 2022 for a suggested retail price of €199.99 (S7807) and €79.99 (S4807) respectively.
