Auris Audio has released a brand new high-end headphone amplifier, the Nirvana IV that should be widely applicable.
According to Auris Audio, their new Nirvana IV headphone amplifier is specifically designed to handle all types of headphones. Including the most difficult planar magnetic models. Supported impedances are between 32 and 600 ohms. On top of the amplifier’s housing are tubes, carefully selected and pre-tested by Auris Audio. Furthermore, components from such resounding brands as Mundorf, Rubicon and Wima were used. The transformers are built in-house, manually wound on double C-shaped cores. The Nirvana IV is encased in an aluminum case; the power supply is an external one. The price is $5799.
