Astell & Kern announces their new A&norma SR35 music player, intended as an “entry-level” player with a bit more pleasant price tag.
The new A&norma SR35 from Astell & Kern is the first of their “entry-level” music players to feature their proprietary New Generation AMP technology. This, according to the manufacturer, eliminates noise at high output levels which in turn should lead to the clearest and most distortion-free sound. It’s possible to switch between dual- and quad-DAC mode, while dual band wifi has also been implemented. The latter should improve the stability of network streaming. Don’t think that the Astell & Kern A&norma SR35 is the bargain of the day though. After all, the player still carries an $800 price tag. Available May 15, pre-ordering May 1.
In-ears
Separate from the player, Astell & Kern launched the ZERO2 in-ears, building on the qualities of the original ZERO. Equipped with an aluminum housing, a planar dynamic driver, oxygen-free copper cables, MMCX connectors and a series of fitting pieces. Here we are clearly not talking about budget in-ears, you have to pay $1050 for them.
