Technics presents new in-ears

Technics is releasing two new in-ears: the EAH-AZ80 and the EAH-AZ60M2, both equipped with ANC, among other features.

The new Technics EAH-AZ80 (shown in the screenshot above) and the EAH-AZ60M2 have almost everything in common in terms of technical features. Biggest difference lies in the fact that the slightly more expensive EAH-AZ80 has a specially shaped case. It should adapt to your ear’s shape as well as possible, and thus avoiding an oppressive feeling. In contrast, the EAH-AZ60M2 has a so-called “All Day Comfort Fit Design” housing.

ANC and JustMyVoice

Both of Technics’ new in-ears feature ANC. In this case, the active noise cancellation is an mix between digital software filters and feed forward microphones. Choose from two modes, with one ensuring that human voices seep through. So you can still catch the announcements at the train station, for example. The earphones are also excellent for hands-free calling. Useful here is the so-called JustMyVoice technology that, according to the manufacturer, should ensure excellent intelligibility. Charging is done wirelessly (Qi protocol is supported). When fully charged, both in-ears offer up to seven hours of playing time (without ANC). Via the charging case, you increase off-grid playing time to 25 hours.

The Technics EAH-AZ60M2 costs €229 and the EAH-AZ80 €299.
