Chord’s portable DACs are certainly not among the cheapest of their kind, and so the fitting leather covers come in quite handy.
Obviously, a portable device is easily tempted to carry around. Problem with that is, on the road there are also greater risks of drops and bumps. As a result, scratches, dents and more can quickly mar your device. Especially for more expensive portables such as the DACs and (or) headphone amplifiers from Chord that would be quite a shame. Chord itself has also figured this out, and has therefore (for some time now) released a series of leather protective covers for several of their portable devices.
Nice action in Germany
The leather covers are available for the Chord Hugo2, in which case you will pay €79. The cover for the 2GO (a complete streamer/player) costs €139. Finally, there is also a cover available for the Mojo2, and you will pay €79 for that again. And it gets even better: in Germany, Chord is running a promotion where you get a matching sleeve for free with the purchase of any of the aforementioned devices. On this German importer page you can find the participating stores. But you can also find a store participating in Vienna, for example. So in case you’re having a holiday near one of those shops… The promotion runs until September 15 this year, so you still have some time to think about it.
If you already own one of the devices mentioned, the covers are of course also available separately at the prices mentioned. Definitely worth the investment, we think, especially if you regularly take your Chord on the road.
