They’re very popular: earbuds that also allow sound from the outside world to just pass through. The new Yamaha TW-EF3A is one such example.
The new Yamaha TW-EF3A are in-ears that allow sound from the outside world to pass through. Increasingly, they are called open in-ears, but of course, in fact, this is not correct. An open in-ear is originally an in-ear with an open back, just like open headphones. Anyway, the TW-EF3A is open to the extent that it allows an open ear for outside sounds. They are designed to stay in your ear without a sealing ear piece. This is precisely what ensures their permeability, as it prevents a complete closure of the ear canal. As drivers, 13 mm ones are used, while otherwise physical control buttons are present. The built-in battery is good for a nice ten hours of playing time on a full charge. Via the battery built into the charging case, you can add another 16 hours on the go.
Presets
Furthermore, you will find several presets in the Yamaha TW-EF3A. There is the low latency gaming mode, which should prevent delays between image and sound in games and video. The Clear Voice mode should make voices and dialogues clearer.
At the time of writing, the price of the Yamaha TW-EF3A is not yet known.
