Rumors have been going for a while now, regarding an alleged Sonos headphone. As it stands now, you will have to be patient for a while.
This Sonos headphone. They’ve been talked about on the tech gossip circuit for a while now. But no one has seen them yet. And meanwhile – judging by this post on What Hi-Fi – there have even been delayed. If the tech gossipers initially believed in a revelation of the hoped-for gem in April, that has now changed. It is now assumed to be June this year. However, it is already ‘known’ the wireless headphones should be cheaper than Apple’s AirPod Max.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or both?
The big question, of course, is not only whether the Sonos headphones will actually ever arrive, but also how they will work technically. Will it be Bluetooth, or perhaps Wi-Fi? The latter would provide perfect integration with the entire Sonos ecosystem, including multiroom capabilities. Although it would be less useful outside the home. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi together is, of course, also a possibility. We’ll see (or not)!
