Sennheiser HD 620S headphones

According to the manufacturer, the new closed Sennheiser HD 620S headphones deliver the soundstage of open headphones.

We all know the big disadvantage of open headphones: your entire environment gets to enjoy your listening sessions. As a result, you can really only use these headphones with good reason when you are alone. On the other hand, the open soundstage of these headphones is highly appreciated by many. Sennheiser claims to have found a solution to this dilemma. Namely, in the form of the Sennheiser HD 620S, which, according to the manufacturer, although a closed system, sounds like an open one.

Aluminum voice coil

At the heart of the HD 620S are specially tuned 42mm drivers. The impedance of the 150 Ohm aluminum voice coil should do fine justice to fast transitions and offer high dynamics. Furthermore, it mimics the triangular arrangement of a traditional speaker setup. This should make you feel like you are in the middle of the sound while listening. Practically speaking, the headphones should be a sturdy unit, thanks in part to the steel-reinforced headband and ear pads that do not wear out easily. Once you buy the headphones, you will find several accessories with them: a fabric carrying case, a detachable cable 1.8 meters in length and a 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm adapter.

The Sennheiser HD 620S will be available starting June 6 this year, at a cost of €349.90.
