The rumors have been going around for some time, but now it’s actually on the way: the Sonos Ace headphones. You can find them in stores starting next month.

The Sonos Ace certainly does not fall into the category of budget headphones and it remains to be seen how it sounds. Nevertheless, it has long been eagerly awaited by Sonos fanatics. Internally, according to the manufacturer, there are two specially developed drivers, which should reproduce every frequency with the highest accuracy. Advantages regarding the Sonos ecosystem are also there, of course. For example, you switch between the sound of a compatible Sonos soundbar and the Sonos Ace headphones at the touch of a button. Practical for movie lovers is, that 3D sound with Dolby Atmos is supported, including head tracking.

30 hours of play time

In headphones of this price range, ANC is almost naturally not missing either. And should you want to escape from your silent bubble for a moment, there’s the Aware mode that allows ambient noise to seep back in. The built-in battery is good for about 30 hours of playing time at full power. That’s a bit disappointing compared to similar headphones from the likes of Sennheiser and Sony. However, just three minutes of charging gives you another three hours of playing time. Included with it is a case and the necessary cables.

The Sonos Ace will be available worldwide from June 5 this year at a price of €499.
