Cayin is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and such an occasion calls for a special device. You can join in the festivities with the Cayin C9ii portable headphone amplifier!
Essentially, the Cayin C9ii is a revamped version of the C9. Inside, you’ll find two Nutube 6P1 miniature tubes, which, according to the manufacturer, ensure a rich sound texture and provide warmth and musicality. A new feature compared to the standard C9 is the inclusion of both “classic” feedback and a modern version with high feedback. Switching between the tube amplifier configurations is done via a switch. The C9ii is designed with full symmetry and dual construction, aimed at reducing distortions, enhancing dynamics, and increasing channel separation. Another interesting feature is the choice between different amplifier modes, including Class A, Class AB, “Hyper,” and single-ended or balanced signal outputs.
The Cayin C9ii has an introductory price of €2298 until December 8th, after which the regular price will be €2498. Although the C9ii isn’t yet prominently featured on the somewhat cluttered website of the manufacturer, there is a link to a YouTube video where the new model is compared to the original C9.
