If you want to enjoy music on the go, you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on luxurious portable players and expensive headphones. You can do it with a decent smartphone and a pair of Bluetooth headphones. We tested two models from the German company Teufel: the Real Blue NC and the Supreme ON. […]
We received the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 headphones already weeks ago. “Take your time, he doesn’t have to return anytime soon” Jaap Veenstra reported. Good, then we’ll dedicate a thorough review to it. With use under different circumstances. And by different people.
On Friday April 10th 2020 we held a live stream of almost four hours during which we discussed twelve headphones. We showed measurements and demonstrated to you – via a modified version of Harriëtte – how they perform. And for those of you who want an overview: here you are! Let’s have a look at […]
We already saw the Hifiman Ananda BT headphones at the iEar show in November 2019; now we have the opportunity to try and test Hifiman’s Ananda Bluetooth. A bluetooth planar headphone with a price tag of € 1,200? Let’s hear it!
During the test of the Burson Conductor V3 we got the Final D8000 Pro Edition. We already heard and reviewed the D8000 at the multitest (February 2019). The final D8000 impressed with its refined reproduction. Rich in detail, holographic, neutral and also dynamic. In the multitest we could hardly choose between this reference model of […]
The Hifiman Jade II headphones are so light you won’t feel them anymore. When we turned on the music, our first impression was that speakers were playing.
With the AH-GC30, Denon puts a great wireless headphone on the market. Which in terms of functionality meets the needs of the target group of business people.
What a beautiful product is the Focal Stellia! Both the finish and the sound is really top-notch. Now we are usually not so impressed by closed over-ear models, but the Stellia is an exception. This over-ear definitely sounds well balanced. And that’s what the measurements show. Handsome Focal. Only point: the Utopia measures even better. And if we remember correctly, the stereo image is also a bit larger. But good: open also has its disadvantages.
The Focal Elegia is a premium headphone with a quirky character. Who thinks it’s just a closed Elear with 100 euros off… wrong. The Elegia is really a different model. With a different sound. The Elear has a much calmer character. And this is due to both a – in our opinion – finer sound character as well as a lower distortion.
We think fans of dance, house and pop can appreciate the Elegia. Pure vocal work… less. Just like copperwork.
Where at Level 1 we still heard significant differences between the headphones, this is mainly about nuance and taste. The measurements also show that. It will be about the match between the other devices in your system, your musical preference, the desired use. In that sense, good quality headphones are no different than speakers.
