B&K HTA 7-150

The test setup

Contents

We used the &K HTA 7.150 for quite some time in the home cinema where an Illusonic IAP8 is the brain. There’s another custom htpc on it. The B&K has driven several speakers, including the Bowers & Wilkins 702 S2. And the DALI Phantom 280S. We did not use a space correction for the reviews, because then we do not know what we are listening to.

Films and music

For the test we watched films as well as listened to music. In our opinion, it is important that an amplifier is able to reproduce both, because a consumer is most likely not going to put down two sets. We watched both action movies (Ghost in the Shell, I Am Legend, X-MEN) and less popping pictures. Music consists of live concerts (MUSE) as well as streaming audio from both Tidal and our NAS.
