Advance Paris A12
Contents
The advance did well in this group test. It is a device with an awful lot of connectivity options and a very solid, stable amplifier. The focus is not so much on loads of detail or precision, but rather on rhythm, and the “fun factor”.
For example, Martijn writes in his notes “bass is somewhat warm and easily audible. Reverb is clear, saxophone somewhat diffuse. It’s nice and rhythmic!” Yung then reports, “Nice stereo image and lovely reverb” to the Vega Trails track. Your author also noted the rhythmic nature. Apparently a standout feature with this amp.
Geoffrey reports in his notes,“smooth, not sharp, not too bass heavy, a little less splashy, smooth, rhythmic, everything nicely balanced” In short all your authors notice the rhythmic character of the Advance Paris A12
We have described the Advance Paris in detail in a complete review. So let’s not repeat ourselves here by saying that this is a very complete amplifier with an attractive price. Ow… and a cool design!
Measurements Advance Paris A12
The Advance Paris’ amplifier measures very well. Power delivery is neat and so is distortion; it is nicely low. Advance uses a lot of feedback in its design which makes for a quiet and low noise floor. Also, the power supply is remarkably quiet. In short: technically not much to complain about! Great device for a decent price.
