To get an idea of the sound of the Niagara 1200, we switch between our own filters and the Audioquest Niagara 1200. We used both the Pass Labs XP-12, the Pavane and the Bryston. Independent and all at the same time on the Niagara 1200.
Of course we check the correct connection with the Kemp Ultimate Polarity checker. And we do a short test with Blue Horizon’s Noise analyzer. That meter shows 0 on all common outputs and 40 to 65 on the high-current output, depending on what’s on in the office. So it is less filtered, which is wise considering the power demand of a power amplifier. By the way, the output can handle up to 10 Amps continuously.
