We have tested the Niagara 5000 in our reference system that consists of:
- Pass Labs XP-12
- Bryston 4B SST3
- Metrum Acoustics Pavane
- Metrum Acoustics Ambre (2 x for this test)
- Focal Sopra No1
- Cables from Audioquest
- Cables from Grimm Audio
- ROON software
The Niagara 5000 is connected with a Thunder cable. Everything is connected in a controlled way via the Kemp Ultimate Polarizer. This way we know for sure that the set is electrically well connected. We didn’t change the Pass Labs, because it sounds very bad through a filter (except for the Kemp Powerstrip 8Plus, which is a parallel filter).
