Next to the television we have a pair of three-way Onkyo speakers that came with a midi set. They are exceptional speakers that we bought years ago for their detailed sound. Those are driven by my vintage JVC receiver and they do just fine. The Elac Connex not only goes further in terms of connections (HDMI in particular) but also in terms of reproduction, the Elac Connex is better and more complete across the board. More detail, more bass and even better intelligibility. You can’t really wish for more than that. It provides a much more intense experience of series and movies.
