Fidelizer Etherstream

This – testing tweaks – is always incredibly difficult. Because it’s about the combination. Think of network layout, type of streamer, type of cables and power supply… And it’s often about nuances. In this case, however, a difference can be heard. But it’s very small. Think of a slightly nicer focus with the Fidelizer version. And a little more peace and quiet – so the nicer capacitor does something. But it’s small. Very small. The difference with the SIlent Angel is clearer and bigger.

Power Supply

Now we are curious what a nicer adapter would do on the SG110D-08. So the default switch. We’ll take a Sbooster 12-volt version and connect it to the switch. Poe: Yeah… that’s a step. And to make it even nicer: he immediately plays away the Fidelizer Etherstream. The Sbooster immediately brings an extra piece of peace and control. More than the Etherstream. Those who buy smart can find a Cisco for 40 euros and with 329 for the Sbooster you are 30 euros cheaper. Not good news for the Etherstream.

Conclusion

We can't make it better than it is. The Fidelizer Etherstream - which is a modified SG110D - does bring a little more insight and focus: the difference is small. And the 350 euro premium isn't worth it. A standard Cisco SG110D-08 with a Sbooster sounds better and is simply cheaper. We would find 149 euros a better price. Then you pay a little extra for the components and the work. And then the manufacturer still keeps a healthy margin. Almost 400 euros is just too expensive.
