Measurements

Of course, we also measured the Guru Q10. We were curious how this speaker behaves in front of the measurement microphone. After all, it should go very deep. Is that a trick or is it really a speaker that can reproduce very low frequencies. Let’s find out!
The conclusion of our measurements: yes… the Guru Q10 can go very deep. But with a touch of extra distortion … Anyway, the Guru Q10 does not measure very clean. And it’s not completely neutral. Although the deviations are not very large and certainly within the margin of ‘taste’.
Measuring close to the Guru Q10 is almost impossible, as you will see in the graphs. Only at the listening spot – which is fine of course – we see things falling in to place. Distortion has a peak around 120 Hz and 400 Hz. Below 90 Hz the distortion goes up considerably. From 200 Hz and further it goes fine. We also see a 3rd harmonic between 1000 and 4000 Hz (simultaneous). This may explain the ‘presence’ of voices. It’s not the cleanest speaker we have measured in this class.
