We tested the Hegel H590 in both the cinema set-up for the front channels and the main set with the Focal Sopra No1. We didn’t need anything else there, since the H590 already has everything on board.
In the cinema, the signal is plucked from the Illusonic, which also controls two nCore end blocks for the surrounds. Of course we have matched all channels on volume, otherwise there will be no more bang from the surround view.
Music comes from our Synology DS1618+ NAS. We play both CD quality and high-res. And we were lucky to play Steven Wilson’s new album: Live at the Royal Albert Hall. Both in High Res and on Blu-Ray. What a pleasure.
