Who is the Hegel Röst for? Simple: for those looking for a simple total solution. A solution without frills. And a solution that doesn’t directly cost a fortune. The Hegel Röst can be combined with almost any speaker. This ‘mini-Hegel’ even knows how to deal with rather tricky models. A fine device with a fine sound and a great price tag. It would be five stars if Hegel either has its own good app with some services or chooses ROON. That just completes it.

Conclusion
The Hegel Röst is a special device. The integrated streamer, dac, pre- and poweramp are a wonderful combination. This device is also IP controllable and Control4 compatible. That's great for those who are moving towards Custom Install.The streamer is UPnP and AirPlay. That's nice, but we do miss ROON or a decent app from Hegel himself. That has been the case with Hegel from the beginning. We would consider 5 stars if they still integrate that.
